Learn how to do braids. Don’t try to sell wigs, you can’t outsell AliExpress, however women do need to do something after buying wigs that involves sewing, looks like a net. learn how to do that.

Also learn sewing, barbing.

On the computer side, learn sql, coding, do courses from aws and google. Some are free to learn

As a side note, Just try hold one man down in Nigeria if you're single, abroad men fear marriage like plague. I feel sad for lots of black women here that want a traditional husband but finding one is like finding an extinct animal. Of course preek full ground, you won't get a shortage of sex, but marriage, it's a miracle to find one.

1 Hair stylist should be helpful. You could earn minimum ($250) (€200) weekly without paying taxes .

2. On a high class lever learn about/ background in childcare. You could earn up to $1200 or €1000 every month looking after 2 to 3 kids on the side or helping with school runs That’s if you live in big cities . Also if you don’t know how to drive, learn it before you leave Nigerian and get both your Nigeria and international license, it makes live easier .

3. Get some training in Nigeria about cleaning. Proper training from a reputable company. You could earn money cleaning homes on the side. You go to busy families once or twice a week, spend average 2–4 hours and you get 40–50 bucks . Multiply by 4–5 families that’s getting close to 200 weekly.

If you have up to six months before moving. Go and learn software development. You can complete the front end in six months. You will be glad you did. If you have few thousands of naira, you can check search for places to learn it in Nigeria or go to technology section on nairaland. I know of Aptech, https://www.aptechlearning.com/it/courses.aspx

Learn how to program. It's relatively easy to get a job as a computer or embedded programmer in the US once you have the skills.

Leave all that nursing, care giving, hair styling, designing stuff alone. If you're serious, get an arduino board and cheap laptop, learn to program. Lots of resources online.

From what I hear, there is not as much emphasis on where you studied, as is on what you know. And the pay is awesome.
