First Question: WHO THE HELL YOU VOTE FOR IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS? |

Thanks for your response. I wonder why the violent approach? To answer your question, my voting choices are personal to me;just as your choice to personally contribute to community development is yours. Please look at the initiative and feel free to join the effort if it appeals. Best Regards |

I asked you a simple question. If u wanna deem it "violent" thats ur prerogative; most of u voters of "You Know Who" are usually like that. . . . . |

OK. As you like it. By the way, have you looked at the initiative yet? Please look at it and lets talk about that, if you want to. Thanks for the comment. |

@Goforthnig Welcome to Nairaland. It is usually advised you ignore posters like the one who first responded to your post! They are notorious for the depth of hollowness and length of shallowness that exist above their neck and shoulder!! They are not usually worth your time. So next time just ignore and don't allow them the privilege of a singualr response! Nice article. Would be good you post the highlights here directly and allow those that want to read the whole thing to use the link. The first point on Entrepreneurship: This(Entrepreneurship) in my opinion is the solution to the grinding poverty. There is something I term scalable entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs should be thought to seek growth in their business even if what they are getting is already enough to cater for their basic needs. That way more jobs would be created allowing the teeming populace of poor masses to exit the poverty trap. |

PapaBrowne: i think you are right, but this one will need real and good help, cos there is more to being an entrepreneur than just starting a business |
Re: What You Can Do To Break The Grip Of Poverty In Your Community by bkbabe97y(m): 3:03pm On May 11, 2011 |
PapaBrowne: Yup, of course u'll advise him not to answer! ROFLMAO!!! Entrepreneurship my left nut! 1. In a country with so much bureaucracy and red-tape? 2. In a super-corrupt society where everything is dictated by who you can bribe the most; Cops, Govt. Ministers, ordinary Civilians. 3. In a country where Power is comatose; No electricity? 4. In a country where the Legislators earn millions of Dollars/Yr while the people live on barely $60/month? 5. In a Country where majority are illiterate and even the "Educated"(?) ones are myopic in thinking (Hey, we see yall on NL everyday!) 6. In a country where the people are greedy, wicked and unbelievably tribalist. . . . thats where you wanna start your "Revolution" when you had the chance less than a month ago. . . . . ? I'm not doubting that your ambition wont grow to be a success, all I ask is :WHO THE HELL DID YOU VOTE FOR IN THE LAST ELECTIONS?! |
Re: What You Can Do To Break The Grip Of Poverty In Your Community by Fhemmmy: 3:10pm On May 11, 2011 |
bk.babe97y: You mean because of all these, we should therefore not encourage Entrepreneurship? |
Re: What You Can Do To Break The Grip Of Poverty In Your Community by bkbabe97y(m): 3:13pm On May 11, 2011 |
Fhemmmy: I didnt read what the link is about. All I'm saying is: most things are bound to fail if the same way of running things are maintained. Although, I guess yalls system works well for you. I just find it hard to comprehend how a person thinks he can start up a company/business with all the hinderances I put up above standing b4 him! |
Re: What You Can Do To Break The Grip Of Poverty In Your Community by Fhemmmy: 3:21pm On May 11, 2011 |
bk.babe97y: Yes, Nigeria is a sorry case and our policy is a mess, but same nigeria house millions of businesses and they are doing really well. We have to see the cup half full instead of half empty and equip ourselves and not depend on some yeye govt that have nothing to offer us. Besides, what the person has suggested are things that will change the way we do and run things |
