Just two days ago, something happened at the office and I tried to bring up an intellectual philosophical conversation with my Cashier about it because I thought that since she appears smart and learned...still schooling...she would at least have an opinion no matter how little it would be. But I was greatly disappointed...she was not even comprehending even after I managed my language as simple and coherent as possible.

While away ur time with good books(prefer novels) and movies, join international chats and broaden ur horizons... Don't limit urself to chatting with just Nigerians, even people all over the world feel the same.
It's also one of the reason am still single, try searching for "A humble but ambitious lady that is independent, driven towards her dream. A lady that's book smart and less street smart. Someone I can have an intelligent chat abt anything and open abt life ", ...U'll get depressed by the options. But I know one will come up someday, we just gotta stay hopeful.

I was thinking about the same things some time ago, I think the OP is referring to our Naija girls.....
I hardly chatt up with naija girls online because most of them have are very low intelligence and make communication boring....
Most times I just lower my expectations just to be able to be able to relate with them but I'm always still end up disappointed.
These days I simply join foreign groups because that's the only way I can meet girls who challenge me intellectually, the only things naija girls know how to talk about is BBN, Slaying , Nollywood etc.

I have met some students who are slightly above average but are very resourceful in archaeological, historical and other sociopolitical discourses. Likewise are there First class students who knows next to nothing - asides their Course materials.

Intelligence, in this context, is beyond passing with good grades.

Don't misconstrue my point. I only used that academic example because it is more agreeable, if I had pointed so many other examples of females leading in sectors like creative, athletic, leadership, entertainment, entrepreneurship etc............these narrow minded bigots will still try to reinforce their claims using their social circle as a parameter for judgement.

Sometimes it beats me how we'd have the potential of communicating with our fellow humans but choose to find everything in books ... Our girls, no insults but it's depressing how very few of them can keep up a healthy convo...yes truly environment does affect in some ways but then, we can help ourselves...try having a conversation with 25/27 years old girls from other countries and then see how ours reason ...very disappointing

Back to topic, I'm hardly lonely. It's simply because I have my schedule full everyday, that I even wish there were more than 24 hours in a day. That's the formula, you full your schedule and not leave space to be dictated by spontaneity. You choose what happen with your time, not the opposite. But if it happens that due to something beyond my control, I have free time, I just go do something that will make my heart beat. It can by sport, gym, biking etc. That you'll be so tired, that you will have no energy to think, and just want to crash.
