The Europeans used the same method across Africa after the partition of Africa. That's why the whole of Africa is shitty.

Bro there are some countries in Africa with overwhelming single majority ethnic group.

Somalia, Eswatini, and Lesotho to mention a few.

Now explain why those countries are still underdeveloped and not prosperous.

Should we blame that on the partition too?

Africa is a continent where you have nations with multiple tribes at close proximity. I don’t know if that can be attributed to our ancient lifestyle where you have people with different languages and tribe at close proximity.

Even if an African is the one that partition Africa, we will still have countries with multiple tribes except if you are going to create one countries per tribe and you are going to have unrealistic numbers of countries.

And yes, there are countries in Europe with more than one ethnic group. Bosnia & Herz, Latvia, Belgium, Serbia & Mont, Switzerland, Macedonia, Estonia and etc.

Back to Africa matter, have you ever wondered why we also have clannish problem at state level? Besides community clashes, do you know there are some states which segregate themselves based on governor clan? You will hear a certain clan cannot be governor, it has to be this and that. This is just to tell you that Africans will always see difference.

Mind you I’m not saying having this kind of multi-tribal country is the optimal solution, I’m just telling you that Africans will always blame something or someone for their inability.

Now let me direct the question back to you:
-Have there been any monolithic ethnic country in Africa that is advanced and prosperous? If you know of one mention it.
Lol.. First, none of those European countries you listed are a forced union.
The structures of the countries is such that peculiarities were given adequate legitimate considerations. In this instance, people of cultural norms across ethnic groups are distinctly divided along constitutional provisions. No country in Europe would ever allow itself be governed by an irregular pattern of purpose. Each region has its own laws with referendum to determine a set of direction whenever the case arises. They are too organized to be direction less and tactless as we have in Nigeria whereby ALL groups are governed with no respect to each other's peculiarities.

What you’re saying here is just use of English.

Firstly, in the 1960s era, Nigeria was never a forced union in that sense. The three major regions came together and agreed to a constitution and got their independence with them forming their government. 1914 is a forced period, but in 1960 they came together to agree on their own accord and constitution.

In your second sentence, we have the same exact thing in the 1960s. We have regions controlling their affairs with a weak center and we were progressing better as a new country then until greed, power, and circumstances led to the collapse of the system.

Mind you, I am not saying Nigeria must be together or saying this our coexistence make sense. I also want Oduduwa if you care to know.

What I’m saying is that, we tend to blame our own inefficiency on something. That was why I gave an example of other African countries with nearly monolithic ethnicity and yet they fail.

Even if we have 3 countries now, there will still be cries of marginalization and etc.

Then you divide it to 100 countries more, the other clans within the counties will still cry marginalization.

While multi-ethnicity could be one of Nigeria problem, it is not the major determinant of our lack of development just as is the case in other African counties.

Every country with sizeable population is made up of different ethnicities who were conquered or dominated into a union.
There are at least 10 ethnic countries within Germany, 50 within China, 40 in Russia, and 7 within England alone!
Let us not even go near America.

How come you have not been hearing about them?
Because they are mostly smart and realize that it is better to solve problems than fighting
for a petty nation subject to external whims.

China with Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other territories have its own laws governing its peculiarities, sames as England. America also practices autonomous system of government.
Nigeria meanwhile practice an horrendous system of undemocratic union.

Hiss.
As people said, the pastor want to trend.

God bless Lord Lugard.
He made nigeria a potentially powerful country.

Dont blame Lord Lugard but blame us, why cant we use our sense to build a fruitful country?
We nigerians fail ourselves.

About the population, north is surely populous than the south.
Visit the northern states and see it yourself.

If we had not an amalgamation of two protectorates, we would not have been in this mess.
In the first place, there was never a union. The southern protectorate was separately and independently administered from the North. It was the mistake of bringing the two unequal union together that led to successive modifications from one system to another.

Africans will always find someone to blame.

You’re blaming a Lugard that died in 1945 for the current state of your nation. Even if Lugard made mistake at the onset, why can’t you as human being solve your problems since all these past decades?

Look across all Africa nations, beside South Africa which the white man left late, which country exactly is worthy of celebrating with technological feats? Almost none.

Are we to curse lugard for the greediness, corruption, lack of system, and etc in other African countries too?

yes

The senior pastor of the House on the Rock churches in a video shared by a Twitter user stated that the problem of Nigeria began from the colonial masters.

Speaking in one of his sermons, blames Lord Lugard for the present state of Nigeria.

According to the clergyman, Lord Lugard was a devil incarnate.

Speaking further, he stated that the major problem of Nigeria is the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). According to the clergyman, INEC is a fraud.

He further claims that the number of population of Nigeria as far as election and census is concern is a lie as the numbers do not reflect in the voting.

The clergyman stated that Nigeria is the only country in West Africa where you move from the ocean to the desert and the numbers increase.

The only country in the world where you move from a large body of water to little or no water and the numbers increase.

He said the problem of Nigeria was not originated by Nigerians, the parents of Nigeria who were not good parents started it.

You people failed to know and understand that lord lugard is a grand master in the occult...!! The amalgamation of Nigeria could be done beyond what me and you know and understand and could have been sealed in blood...!!

It's not by mistake that they name London as the occult capital of the world...!!

The issue of Nigeria is beyond physical and to split it blood must definitely flow on an industrial scale...!! That's just it..!!

Liar

It was Lord Lugard that God used to Finally defeat the Fulani Jihad Militarily against orders of His British Government who asked him not to fight them in a War

Lugard believed that the Slavery wouldn’t end till the Sokoto Caliphate was totally defeated because the Sokoto Caliphate were Champion Slave raiders

Lugard marched on Both Kano and Sokoto with around only 2000 Soldiers many of them Southerners and killed both the Emir of Kano and the Sultan of Sokoto in the Battlefield at the head of their Armies

On the day that Lugard entered Kano half of the City were Slaves who refused to lift a finger to defend it

In the South it was also Lord Lugard that finally forced an end to Slavery in areas where it was Still being Practiced

Kaduna, Enugu and Port Harcourt were all founded by Lord Lugard and it was he who first built the Lagos to Kano Railway

Lord Lugard did so much good for Nigeria and Truly wished Nigeria well
