ENGLISH LYRICS
1
I hear Thy welcome voice
That calls me, Lord, to Thee,
For cleansing in Thy precious blood
That flowed on Calvary.
Chorus
I am coming, Lord
Coming now to Thee!
Wash me, cleanse me, in the blood
That flowed on Calvary.
2
Though coming weak and vile,
Thou dost my strength assure;
Thou dost my vileness fully cleanse,
Till spotless all and pure.
3
Tis Jesus calls me on
To perfect faith and love,
To perfect hope, and peace, and trust
For earth and heaven above.
4
Tis Jesus who confirms
The blessed work within,
By adding grace to welcomed grace
Where reigned the power of sin.

We were not washed in the blood of Jesus Christ though. Jesus Christ never said His blood was meant for washing anything, nor did He suggest it could wash anything. Instead He said His blood represented the New Agreement and that we should drink it, not bath or wash in it

In God's New Covenant, we are made pure by the sprinkling of pure water on us - Ezekiel 36 vs 25.

Jesus Christ never asked anyone to wash or bath in His blood, nor cover anything in His blood. Even by Old Covenant standards, that would have amounted to practicing paganism and more than likely punishable by death. undecided

The blood of Jesus Christ was shed for the forgiveness of the sins of the Old Covenant sinners, the Lost sheep of Israel, as part of the ransom to release them from that Old agreement. This was done so they may, free from the old bondsge, become a part of the New Covenant agreement which Jesus Christ came to bring to all. undecided

In the New Covenant, Jesus Christ said that we eat His body and drink His blood of the agreement to have eternal life - John 6 vs 47 - 58 undecided
