The Filthy Hypocrisy Of Nigerians... by mancoconut: 3:55pm On Jul 18, 2021 |
It all goes back in full circle to the same old Igbophobic sentiments other Nigerians unapologetically harbor, when Igbos point out these things, we're called all sorts of names including those who accuse us of always playing the victims. The breaking point for me was the much talked about send off burial ceremony for Obi Cubana's mother that got everybody (including the miserable losers who can't even take care of their own mums while they are alive) all taking the "high moral ground" on how a man and his wealthy associates/friends should spend their money, all because it's Igbos at the center of the attention. Now here is the part that infuriates me about these self-loathing and hypocritical elements (we know their ethnic identity) How's it cool for Yorubas to throw lavish owambe parties almost every weekend and sometimes they even block major streets and deny motorists accessibility because they are throwing a party, a typical yoruba man can spend all his life savings on Owambe parties and be broke the next day... but we don't see Igbos care much about or judge the yorubaas? the same yorubaas are the main instigators of these hateful campaign against Igbos all over social media platforms, they say the roads in Oba and Anambra aren't tarred despite all the billionaires blah blah blah... has Tinubu tarred or brought any developments to his Osun state or community in Iragbiji? have Mike Adenuga etc tarred all the terrible roads in Ogun state which ranks among the worst in the country? Where were all those yoruba billionaires during the last lockdown which exposed the profound poverty and hunger across the South West states? at least we saw wealthy Igbos empowering their people with palliatives during the last lock down... the hypocrisy of these people stinks to high heavens! Lastly, Where were all these "social media moral advocates" on Igbo matter when the children of rich Northern politicians were posing in private jets and displaying mouth-dropping affluence during their Salah day celebrations? we saw all these Hausa kids drove about in super expensive cars in Abuja and doing car rodeos, all this happening even as the North stews in abject poverty and all forms of humanitarian disasters. So because Obi Cubana (who didn't even spend 1/10th of his money) as the majority of money spent to celebrate with him were goodwill splurges and gestures from his friends and business associates whom he had helped to become successful at one point or another, that has now caused a stir everywhere with useless idiots now forming opinions on Igbos when they can't even feed and take care of their own family members... Truly the Igbos will always be the biggest threat to Nigeria. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

You people are so demonic and mentally messed up. So,you bunch were not emotional when you spend days lamenting about how grown ups in another region spend their own money. But once you were called out as the mindless idiots you are, you start spewing craps about being emotional. Shame on you all. midolian: 9 Likes 1 Share |

I've never seen a tribe as hateful and envious like this Yarriba people. People who spends all their time and money on Owambe with smelly ampits. See how they littered the whole social media to spite the Igbos simply because friends gathered to mourn the death of a friend's mother and after this same evil creatures will be saying that the Igbos are not united. What hipocrisy. I think I will start avoiding this evil creatures from now onwards. They are capable of doing any sort of evil with their mentality 4 Likes |

Bhet Obi cubana made his money from Nigerians from North to East to South to West.. so what's the big deal if people criticize him? So because he is Igbo.. others shouldn't have opinion or express displeasure with him? But you all wake up daily calling Tinubu that governed only Lagos all sort of names, you insult Buhari, PYO and co as you please. You better grow up.. for him to put the display in our faces means he should expect praises and backlash alike. 3 Likes |

mancoconut: At least, if you're that rich, you should tar the roads near your houses, even if government is not able to do it. You'll be criticized for not doing this when you claim to be a billionaire and is seen walking on an untarred roads near your house. Doesn't matter whether you're a Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa. 1 Like |

Danzakidakura: Noone would have known Zik if not for Sir Herbert Macaulay a Yoruba man who handed over the party he formed to Zik.. After Zik, which other politician can you boast about with exploits from your region? NONE! Fast forward to 2021.. you're hoping that Tinubu a yoruba man will let go of all he worked for in APC to give Igbo Presidency ticket.. If you people continue like this, 100 years will come and you won't smell presidency. 1 Like |

KratosCorp: Will you all keep quiet?. I have been looking at you fooools throwing shades at Yorubas just because some people questioned Obi's wealth? What's there if his wealth gets questioned? Una dey ment or what? Is it the first time that people question others' wealth? You dingbats are the ones opening stupid threads everywhere to attack Yorubas everywhere or shouting Afonja in every Obi's threads even when nothing has been said! You dey ment? Maybe if your Obi had thrown a huge party to celebrate his mother's birthday while she was alive, maybe people wouldn't question his wealth. Even when Adenuga threw a huge party for his mother's burial, vanity people still talked about it and questioned him, so what's the hullabaloo about? You dey ment? Always crying victim everywhere. |

Buy how does the opinion of some faceless people in a faceless forum become the position of an entire tribe, most of whom may not even know of a certain Cubana who buried his mother with such affluence? 2 Likes |

KGD10: It's persecution complex that is disturbing them.. imagine if PMB or PYO was Igbo, no tribe would be allowed to criticize or say anything negative about them. The same people are all over the net soiling the name of Tinubu and other perceived enemies of theirs, yet noone is talking. |

Nairaland has really polarized and turned nigerians against themselves, OP and people like him should know that the two largest groups of people on Social media in Nigeria and probably west africa are yoruba and igbo people. If there is any criticism, or opinion or advice on social media in on trending topics in Nigeria, 8 out of 10 times it would be from either a yoruba man or an igbo person. There is no reason to tribalize any of these issues. A typical learned yoruba or igbo personal is always full of opinion, thinking his or her own insinuations as the correct one, that be the case both tribes top the list for biggest educational strides in Nigeria., so una over sabi too much. The downside of una oversabi is this giving of too much opinions and again since the two group makes over 70 percent of nigerian cyberspace users the most comments on Obi's ceremony was likely to come for either of both tribes. However i do understand that the vitriol on Nairaland has gotten the best of you, take it easy bros. Yes nigerians are very tribalistic and nairaland is the perfect place for a barely tribalistic person to become extremely radicalized. However it pays to be open minded sometimes. On the other hand, Im sure maybe because i am not an igbo person i can not truly understand how the criticism dey carry pain you!, hence my somewhat liberal response. 1 Like |
