From experience, many people in Lagos don't tell the exact truth when it comes to rent. Online listing sites are your best plug. Whatever price you see on these sites, take it as the absolute truth.

I'm not saying that your claims are false but many people paying extremely high fees as rent don't tell their families the truth to avoid billing or being seen as extravagant. That 300k maybe 500k if you probe further. If you tell some people that you pay 700k on rent, they will spend 3 hours lecturing you on why you should buy land in the village and start building.

You really know them. One needs to take time to search, compare prices and make a choice. Some rent would be moderate, you take a look at service charge and you see 3m (inclusive of diesel and PHCN). They give you with one hand and take it back with another.

Let’s not even talk about agents. They tell you once place and take you to another.

I need a mini flat on mainland... Preferably ketu and environs.... Places like Cement and Mangoro might be consider too.... Hit me up if you have one or know someone that's moving out soon

Maryland -Anthony is darn expensive right now.
Self contain ( room with bathroom & toilet) is 400k as at last month.
But inside onipetesi estate, Mangoro behind the Local airport is a bit decent. One can get 1bedroom flat for 250k excluding agency & agreement. The environment is serene enough.
The only issue i have with the area is the ikeja along traffic and the drive down to Dopemu underbridge to navigate back to the estate.
Aside this, the area is a good and convenient place to live.

There is no 1 bedroom less than 350k in onipetesi. Except its just 2 rooms with maybe toilet outside.

The standard fee for 1 bed there is 400k

I would rather live in the village than pay to live in shithole Lagos. I stayed with my friend in his flat some where in AKUTE and i like it although the roads leading to Akute are bad and it was very far from MMI Aiport.

We have been hearing the bolded since 1960 but l heard the Governor of Lagos State saying that about 300 Luxurious Buses bring "new people" to Lagos every blessed day!
