This happened at her mother's funeral mass where she had reported to have walked out but later came in to explain the reasons for her actions and comments against some practices about the catholic church in Nigeria.

So many of them especially if you are notable or the dead person is person of importance and as you don't wanna lose face, you pay without pim. I did burial in Anglican and the parish priest was saying on camera during locum mass that they didn't get enough from us. Big man begets big money. This is not a village but a rich city. I don't know anything about this Anglican church but I paid levies. All my family members taxed in hundreds of thousands else no burial. This same man proudly came to our house during the burial to collect his share of burial food. I mean, this is no poor reverend or parish. He gave envelope for his wife's launching of whatever and went away with lots of goodies.

Humans love freebies. Coming from country that placed money first before other things,I'm not surprised.

And yeah, the way they go about raising money in the church especially Catholic is what's driving people away actually.
