Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.

- William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

Being an activist in Nigeria is a tricky business.
There is hunger in the land and many are looking for the quickest way pay their bills.

Not a few of the social crusaders that have gained recognition in our country ended up being discovered to actually be phonies who whipped up the societal ills of the day to gain the confidence of the masses which they then used to surreptitiously secure patronage from the government in power.

In fact apart from the late duo of Gani Fawehinmi and Yinka Odumakin, together with Joe, the widow of the latter and Femi Falana, genuine activists are a rare species in Nigeria.

Sunday Adeyemo aka Igboho, doesn't belong in the league of Nigeria's classic activists. There is little known about the man in our national space and a search on Google does not reveal much except that he was a motorcycle mechanic who rose to prominence due to his inexorable determination to fearlessly rise in defense of his people when destiny and circumstances chanced upon him.

At the outset Igboho was written off as a charlatan who was seeking attention from the government. It was predicted that a couple of Ghana-must-go bags would soon silence the thug from Ibadan. But the man has comprehensively proved the naysayers wrong.

He is currently detained in The Republic of Benin and is fighting against his extradition to Nigeria but Igboho, in my opinion, has already won the battle no matter the outcome.

He has sent a clear message to those who seek to be feudal lords over others in this Britain's geographical contraption.
He has disabled their sleep and rattled what is left of their sanity.

Greatness was thrust upon Sunday Adeyemo and his resounding response has left nothing more to be desired.

I am proud of Igboho

The foolishness of Igbos and Yorubas
We are currently fighting for self determination which is enshrined in the UN constitution and is also our fundamental right. But we kill all this effort of being independent, any time we partake in Nigeria elections.

Just know it today that anytime you tumb print and vote for any party in Nigeria, you are saying sex to the continuous existence of Nigeria. If we are really serious with our mission for self determination, let's avoid anything voting in Nigeria and ask the politicians to park up. We can start with Anambara elections , which we must not allow to happen, if only we are serious.

Join NINAS to say no to elections in Nigeria, Join MNK to say no to elections in Nigeria. Just remember that anytime u thumbprint to vote, you are saying yes to the existence of Nigeria. If we continue to support voting and still agitating for freedom, it means we are foolish.
