With the way Igbos make noise calling Nigeria zoo on nairaland and tweeter, one would expect them to turn down any representation of Nigeria. 1 Like 1 Share |

Zeejohnson: Merit my black ass...the only thing they have in common is that they are all based abroad. Was there any competition in Nigeria to select the best. Every country goes to a competition process to select the best, their is always a heat process where those who reaches the final get to go to the Olympics but in Nigeria it is different. So mr man, if it was merit then many names listed wouldn't have been on the list. 2 Likes |

FreeIgboho:The reason is very clear. The north hide their females in the other room. They see females performing sports as a Haram to their religion And guess what? Buhari would have edited the list if only if they could person half of the performance of these ones here. |

Since Nigerians want to act fools on the world stage, i wouldn’t be surprised if some foreign coaches or competitors believe they could advantage their own athletes - every little helps - by getting someone to approach Nigerian athletes like Blessing Okagbare and encourage them to boycott their events or make no effort in order to "send message" to Nigerian politicians. This is a daft idea of course but Nigerians like that guy on the bus are acting so daft foreigners could be forgiving for believing Nigerians have all become half-witted dimwits. |

I am beginning to notice one thing about Nairalanders. Majority are tribalistic in nature. It is becoming a platform for ethnic conflict. I keep saying it, that all of that won't take us no where but rather give a bad impression. 8 Likes |
