Is The Problem Of Nigeria The Leaders Or The Followers? by Restoresp: 6:19pm On Jul 25, 2021 |
I have been thinking about the situation of the country, so I thought I should create a thread for us to discuss on how to make our country better. Traveling abroad is good, but there's no place like home if you can sacrifice to make it good. Everyday we read different stories about Nigerians been arrested in different parts of the world for one crime or the other, though we still have few number of persons representing the country nicely and making us proud. So you see the blame is not only on the leaders but also on the followers. Nigerians abroad are now committing more crime than those at home, so you see the problem is not only on the leaders but also on the followers. No doubt the government has disappointed us in every area; from Education, health, power etal, there's no single area our government has done well, from 1960 till date. This is not about politics because all politicians are the same. Please my fellow Nigerians, how do we tackle the situation in the country?, How do we hold our leaders accountable for their corrupt practices when the oil of corruption starts flowing from the followers. There's no sector in Nigeria that is free from corruption. This is not the time for blame game but rather the time for those that are well to do to pick people and help them. Nobody is an island. Empowerment is what I think alot of youths need now to stay of crime. So many people are into cybercrime just to raise cash to start up something (that is for those that want to be self employed), unfortunately for some after tasting the proceeds from cybercrime, they decided to make it there office. If we don't join hands together to make Nigeria a better place from now, the country may be sold off within the next 50 years lol.. Suggestions and contribution please. Everybody is tired of the situation in the country. |

The leaders are foolish while the followers are stupid or vice versa Sacrifice is just what Nigeria needs and no one wants to pay it for a better tomorrow... Those at the helms of affairs have all what it would take to make Nigeria a great nation... But they won't because of their selfish reasons... The followers on their own part already have a concluded mindset that whenever and however they find themselves in any political office, it's an opportunity to steal and take their own share of the national cake... And so the cycle continues Furthermore the politician would never want to make life comfortable for it's citizens so they would always have something to lament on, for if the citizens are comfortable they would have strength to protest amongst other things ... |

the people is a reflection of who they vote for. Rome wasn't built in a day, it's a gradual process |

they are BOTH to be blamed... the head of state for the BS governance, and the people for A) electing these bastards in power and B) to stay quiet and do nothing when they fukc up. SOLUTION: find better/proper leaders to elect and make sure they do exactly what they are suppose to do to better Nigeria...if they dont, get rid of them ASAP! |
