Wonders of the world- Northern Lights

The Northern Lights have become a sensation for tourists traveling in the Northern Hemisphere. The Northern Lights are auroras, or naturally occurring phenomena that consist of mystifying displays of light in the sky. The northern lights dance across the sky and emanate a diffused glow along the northern horizon.

The intensity of northern lights increases as you head north towards the magnetic pole in the Arctic. Unfortunately, the northern lights appear only randomly, making it a challenge for travelers to see while on a short trip. They are more often experienced by locals who live in these northern regions. Some of the most popular places to see northern lights are in Canada's far north, Alaska, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

The probability of seeing Northern Lights increases during the winter months. They occur throughout the year but the dark skies in winter make them easier to see.

Last week Wednesday from our outreach endeavors

Bible Characters- Joseph “May He (Jehovah) add or adding”

From Genesis 37, through the reminder of the chapters, the holy Bible’s central figure is Joseph- even though we are still dealing with the family of Jacob. More chapters are devoted to Joseph than to Abraham or Isaac.

Joseph was an example of a good man and a great life.

There is no one in Scripture who is more like Christ in his person and experiences than Joseph. According to Bible scholars the likeness is not accidental and the parallel is so evident.

Joseph was born in Haran before Jacob returned to Canaan. He was Jacob’s favorite child because he was the son of his old age, and also Rachel’s child.

What the Old Testament says about Joseph
1. The humiliation of Joseph
2. The shame of Judah
3. Tested by adversity
4. Exalted by Pharaoh
5. Exaltation by family
6. Jacobs blessings upon the 12 tribes.

Joseph died at the age of 110, promising his brothers that “God will bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
