*2 aspects to be considered on this topic are:*

*1. The spirit of the world (worldliness)*. 1Cor. 2:12.

e.g Demas forsook apostle Paul for the things of this world.
- A worldly person will always lust after the things of the world
1Jhn. 2:15.

- Worldly spirit entices, making one to love the world than God's kingdom.
- But Abraham was not so found in that habit. - God called him His friend. No doubt God multiplied him & his generation.

Titus 1:4
- nature avoids vacuum
- love for God separates you from the trap of worldliness

Prov 26, 2Pet 2:22; Rev.22: 14 & Mark 4:11.
--Going in the way of the world is like a dog that return to eat its vomits.
- Outsides are dogs (Rev 22:14)
- Don't be enticed. You shall not suffer eternal regret! 1Cor.12: 2f; 2Pet. 1:3.

*2. The Lust of the eyes ( a.k.a Covetousness)*
Josh 7:19-21 painted the account of a man called Achan who yielded to this spirit.
