Sevilla has rejected Chelsea’s approach to include Kenedy in Jules Kounde deal.

According to reports from Goal (h/t Express), Chelsea Fc has been left disappointed after suffering a setback in their attempt to sign Jules Kounde.

Sevilla has rejected a new offer that involves cash + Chelsea player Kenedy. However, the report has it that the Blues aren’t giving up.

Chelsea are expected to return with an improved bid to land the 22-year-old highly-rated defender. The defender is wanted by Tuchel in his attempt to strengthen the Chelsea defence line.

The report suggests that the Blues are not willing to pay the £68m release clause in the defender’s current contract. Adding that Chelsea already has their first offer rejected, the offer which includes Kurt Zouma plus £30m.

Kenedy spent the last two seasons on loan with Spanish clubs Getafe and Granada respectively. Chelsea’s attempt to send him back to Spain, this time on a permanent basis to Sevilla has been rejected by the Spanish club, as the La-Liga team are not interested in the player.

Chelsea Boss, Thomas Tuchel Drops Ruben Loftus-Cheek Transfer Update
The manager drops a hint about midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek's Chelsea future beyond the summer.

"He deserves some playing time during this preparation period, but I want to see him do more.

I believe he can show up more, he can show more capabilities, he can move more with the ball. I'm not yet satisfied with him, I think he needs to be pushed to the absolute limit, but it's too early to judge him.
"It's in his hands, and it's left to him to decide his future, just like every other player.
"He needs to keep going 150 percent as 100 percent is not enough. "
Chelsea will be pushing to challenge for the League title next season after finishing fourth last term.

Chelsea legend and former captain, John Terry believes Reece James has what it takes to be the best ever right back of all time.

The legendary defender who recently joined Twitter had a few interactive sessions with some Chelsea supporters on the platform.

One of the questions a fan asked and he responded to, was about James and the question was if the right back could become the greatest right back ever.

“Potentially, yes,” Terry said. “But I always believed longevity is vital, and performing consistently year after year makes you the best.”

“I really love Reece and think he has everything needed to be the very best.”

Obviously, if anyone knows what it needed to be one of the greatest of all time, then it’s Terry.

At only 21, Reece James, who has the highest goal contributions in the Chelsea squad in the league this season, is now already considered one of the best right backs in the continent.

He’s not just good offensively, he’s also a very reliable player defensively, unlike lots of other wing-backs or full-backs with similar attributes.

But just like Terry said, to become the best ever, the young lad will have to stay on top of his game for many years running.
