Young and old, black and white, erectile dysfunction does not discriminate. The Cleveland Clinic states the 52 percent of men suffer from some form of erectile dysfunction. Celebrities are not immune. Here are some men of stage and screen that share concerns with this disease.

Jay Z

According to Celebrity Fashion, Jay Z might suffer with Priapism. Priapism is a form of erectile dysfunction that is defined as persistent erections. It’s unclear if Jay Z has Priapism because of over use of drugs like Viagra and Cialis, but over use of these drugs is linked to Priapism. The condition is painful and leads to erections lasting more than four hours.

Hugh Hefner

“The Hef,” according to Fashion Underground UK, suffers from ED. For decades his magazines have flown off the shelves for men that admit mostly to purchasing it for the articles. Some of his bunnies have said that he takes so much Viagra he’s going deaf. Hefner has said he would rather go deaf than not be able to perform at his age.

Michael Douglas

Douglas detailed his gratefulness to the invention of Viagra in an article from the AARP Magazine. He openly expresses the benefits outside the obvious that have greatly enriched his life. He feels that his life as a husband and father have benefitted from medication.

Bob Dole

As a conservative in the 90’s, Bob Dole, was the first celebrity to come out to raise awareness to erectile dysfunction, according to Fashion Underground UK. It made him the butt of some jokes, but he was the first celebrity to try and remove the stigma associated with ED.

While living with ED is difficult, imagine having to suffer with it publicly. These men show great confidence sharing their experiences and are great examples for men shying away from having that difficult discussion about ED with their doctor.

This actually proves that ED is general problem with men all over the world...
