James Byrd Rogers is the son of legendary TV host and puppeteer Fred Rogers. He appeared several times in his father’s show “Mister Roger’s Neighborhood.”


James Byrd Rogers Early Life

James was born in 1959 to TV host Fred Rogers and reputed concert pianist Joanne Rogers. His younger brother John and him appeared in his father’s show Mister Roger’s Neighborhood as children.

His father earned many awards and recognitions thanks to his performance. It aired on PBS from 1968 to 2001.




Following his father’s footsteps, James enrolled at Rollins College. Unlike his father, he is a very private person. James took some time off from his family and the limelight.

He stopped returning to his parent’s house to discover himself outside his father’s image. Fred and Joanne supported his decision for a break, while his younger brother John supported his father’s show.

James Byrd Roger stays away from the spotlight; thus, one cannot state for sure what he does for a living.

He has a son, Alexander, though no record of the marriage has been made available to the public, so one cannot tell if he is married or in a relationship.



Jame stayed far away from his family, however in 1989, he finally found peace and appeared on his father’s show with his son Alexander.
