Obafemi Martins has rejected overtures from Arsenal after deciding to pledge his future with Newcastle following summit talks with Toon boss Sam Allardyce. The Nigeria forward, who scored 17 goals in his first campaign on Tyneside, believes the Magpies are set for a great future. Martins has a £13million release clause in his contract and reports earlier in the summer suggested that the Gunners were ready to trigger it. But Martins will be staying in the north-east to play alongside Michael Owen . Wont it be nice for him to play in Europe with arsenal than playing for the toons and Do he really think the coach will bench Micheal Owen:an english man for him?. |
