Unlawful Tax: Cross River State Anti-Tax Agency Rescues Trader Commodities in Calabar

Cross River State Anti-Tax Agency Enforcement Team, on Friday, liberated some trader's commodities in Calabar South.

A martyr, Mrs. Apostle Orok, a pharmacist in Calabar South, who retails drugs was humiliated for not reimbursing her business premises tax by unlawful tax operators in Calabar South.

Orok said on persuading them with the Governor's Anti-Tax Exemption Policy all efforts were proved abortive. She immediately called up the Anti-Tax agency hotlines on 07026105177, they arrived forthwith and retrieved her products from the illicit tax operators.

Speaking with the Anti-Tax Representative in Calabar South, Mr. Frank Okon said, “We received a complaint through our hotlines of a small shop owner in Calabar South, lamenting of illegal tax operators assaulting her and also, invading into her shop premises to seize her goods”.

“Our team swung into action with three (3) Anti-Tax Brigades, One (1) Police Officer, and a Civil Defense cop for the operation.”

He attested that the team “was able to regain all her goods which were contained a pack of drugs from the illegal tax operators in Calabar South.”

Recall that, the Cross River State Governor, His Excellency, Ben Ayade declared Cross River State TAX FREE, with the agency responsibility of building a better economic future for all Cross Riverians, in categories of low-income earners, small businesses, and physically challenged persons in the state, under the established law of Cross River State Tax Exemption No. 13, 2015, which provides the agency to facilitate, CRS Anti-Tax Agency as a cooperative for the implementation of the government policies.
