Alumni
Despite the incessant attack by Boko Haram extremist in Borno state, University of Maiduguri (unimaid) can boost of having alumni that are presently in key positions in top Government organization. Example the present Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami. The MD of NNPC, Mele Kyari and the present Senate President, Ahmed Lawan.
However, this piece focus on present Governor who are alumni of the institution.
Babagana Zulum
He is a Nigerian professor and politician, he is serving Governor of Borno state in the 2019 Governorship election under the platform of APC.
Abubakar Sani Bello
Abubakar Sani Bello also known as Lolo, is a Nigerian politician and the current executive Governor of Niger state. He is a member of APC.
Bala Mohammed
Bala Mohammed is a Nigerian politician who is the Governor of Bauchi state. He was also a minister of Fct from 2010 to 2015 and a senator from Bsuchi state between 2007 and 2010.
Okezie Ikpeazu
Also a Nigerian politician who serve as the Governor of Abia state in office since May 2015. He was elected on the platform of PDP
