Oluwaseun Sakaba, a Nigerian woman whose husband, Lt. Col I. Sakaba, was slain by Boko Haram terrorists in 2018, has lambasted the Nigerian Army for sharing photographs of repentant sect members holding placards begging Nigerians for forgiveness

Sakaba was one of 44 soldiers murdered by militants in November 2018 during a raid on the 157 Task Force Battalion in Metele, Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State.

Oluwaseun Sakaba, his widow, read the Nigerian Army's post with the sect members pleading for forgiveness and reacted on her Instagram page.She asked the Nigerian Army if she should forgive the same people who made her a widow at a young age.

She wrote;

This is exactly what Buhari's government is all about. They forgive and elevate terrorists while at the same time killing and jailing innocent people demanding for their freedom

That's exactly the question I asked in the other thread. What about the people these so-called repentant terrorists killed? What is justice for them? How do we get justice for all the victims of Boko Haram if we forgive the terrorists? What is the meaning of justice in Nigeria?

For me I would say, try them and give them sentences little less than what they truly deserve. That's the much we can do for them. Every shedding of blood much be punished, if not by man, then by God. Every innocent blood wasted cries perpetually for vengeance. One way or another every killer pays

Not sure why the government are quick to ensure that these wicked people are forgiven and integrated back into the society yet other "terrorist groups" from other parts of Nigeria do not get the same treatment

This is one out of a thousand atrocities they have committed since 2009, I don't think the Nigeria state have capacity to maintain a database of boko haram members and for those who are not.
