Guy stop exposing your ignorance here. Just ask a medical student whether or not it's possible. Or you think the rib is like a tibia or something?
Alonso did not get a broken rib from that tackle.

Del Bosque subbed him off for Cesc because he knew the game was going to extra time and they needed more attacking power.
Fact remains...Busquets is our DM and if you do not like it...well lipsrsealed

Some fans sha. angry

LOL. They had to create a special category for them. Where is AVB now?

By the way, have you noticed how poorly Spain has been doing since the "displaced" Alonso's dip in form (due to age) and retirement?
i noticed....i did also notice that during the 2010 world cup spain scored just 7goals(correct me if i am wrong),and the man responsible for 5 of them (villa) is now retired,oh and Xavi(retired) and Iniesta are no longer the players they once were. Puyol is retired,Ramos now plays as a CB,Cassilas is washed up....my point is that you keep talking like Spain only lost Alonso but we both know the spainish team of the 2010 world cup and the euro is not the spainish team of the 2014 world cup and wont be the team of 2016 euros.

Dayo I know sabi football. I don't know the argument you had with him though.

He has told many lies while arguing here we've always exposed him. The most recent of which he said during the time makelele was with Chelsea, Madrid never crossed ucl 2nd round. I bursted him that Monaco won real in quarter finals same season makelele played his first ucl for Chelsea.

...what would Villa's goals have done against a 5 goal drubbing against Netherlands for instance? Spain ground out 1-goal margin wins throughout 2010 WC. Only a defensively disciplined team can do this. While you were all busy praising Busquets, now why can't you praise him since Alonso left? Oh, now Busquets is like an orphan left with washed out players etc? Same Spain with an embarrassment of talent in every position? You mean the "best DM" has that little influence? Aha.

Indeed, since you were in his chest. That's how you knew. I said ask your medical student friends what breaking a rib is about. Just a hint for you: some people with broken ribs are not even aware. Boxers break ribs from punches talk less of a kick. It is only a big deal for athletes because breathing gets painful; which painkillers can sort out.

One would had expected him to name guys that are still playing so that we can all learn.

Lmaoooooooooooo grin

Not possible! When a rib is broken, it is very painful because it stress the intercostal nerves.

The team doctor is not that silly to allow him play with broken ribs knowing fully well that it might puncture the intercostal blood vessels or other more important blood vessels.
The ribs lies on the lungs and heart, so imagine what a broken rib can do to it.

...are you sure you are a medical student? Boxers who break a rib and continue to fight? What is this guy on? You better do more research. Mind you, not all fractures are multiple or with bone sticking out.

LOL @ replacement. You guys take yourselves too seriously sometimes. Remember this is mostly for fun. If I had names for replacement for Busquets, I will fly into Barcelona and go present my case. Yes I mention Sammer. That's my model DM; no wonder he won the Balon D'Or even as a DM/Defender. Sammer, Veron (never mind the Man U mistake). Those are my models.
You stil have not answered sir! We are all fans and we have at one point or the other suggested names here even though we all know we can't fly to Barcelona to present our cases. When the issue of Pogba was rife, many suggested Verrati, coutinho, gundogan etc. When we were bashing Alves then, many came up with names for his replacement, same for Valdes and every other player that have been criticised at one point or the other.
You claimed Busi is below average, and you are to at least suggest one or two names that you think will perform better and slot in seamlessly into the team, not that you or any of us has the power to fly to Barca, you mentioned Sammer, Veron and co who are no longer playing. Even your partner suggested Coq with some few names that he feels are better. So, why can't you also suggest one and lets see if he can fare better than Busi.

Well, I don't bother with such. Sorry. The fact that I think someone is not up to par doesn't mean I will go digging for replacement. What I expect is the person to improve. Simple.
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Nobody: 9:42am On Dec 16, 2015
And since that first game, it is Busquets and not his fellow defensive midfielder, the vastly more experienced Real Madrid star Xabi Alonso, who has been the more trusted by his coach. Busquets was the one left on the pitch against Paraguay in the quarter-finals when Del Bosque needed to make an attacking substitution, and when he wanted to shore up his defence late on against Germany in the semi-final, it was again Alonso who was sacrificed for a defender.
So Alonso was substituted more than once sef? grin

Logica what caused him being substituted against Paraguay?..

A crushed Adam's apples perhaps? shocked shocked tongue

OK, you are a clown. You posted a quote from an unknown person reflecting his opinion. Maybe you should ask De Bosque.

Broken ribs location and number determines the seriousness of the injury!
Did you see where the studs of Nigel's boot hit him? almost close to the sternum! very close to where the internal thoracic artery is located!
The intercostal muscles might hold them in place, but you can never tell.
Besides from his interviews, he never said he had a broken ribs, he only said he might have had a broken ribs.

You think an athlete would say "I might have a broken rib) and not go check it up? He will be sitting around? De Jong's kick was with his foot vertical. A rib couldn't broken anywhere along the where the foot connected; which was a pretty large area.
