These players still have running contracts. Contracts are legal agreements entered into by both parties. One party cannot just wake up one morning and shred the documents. It doesn't work like that. If the player lack the ambition to play elsewhere and/or no suitable offer was made for the player by another club, whilst their contracts subsist, FC Barcelona has no power to terminate them unilaterally.
