A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja presided by Hon. Justice R.A. Mohammed on Wednesday refused two applications brought before it by the Imo State Government with regards to the white paper report on recovery of lands and properties in Imo as it relates to properties associated with former Governor Rochas Okorocha in Imo state.

He declined to grant the following requests sought by counsels representing the government which include:

(1) Application to transfer the case to Federal High Court. Owerri

(2) Preliminary objection that the judge lacks jurisdiction to sit on the matter as a vacation judge .

The court consequently adjourned the case to 24th of this month (August), against the wishes and pressures of lawyers for Imo State Government who sought for a longer adjournment date of 22nd September 2021 to hear all other motions and applications including motion for Interim Injunction.
