Mr. Ejimaji Percy Emmanuel a 29 yr old Pharmacist from Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, who presented with 4/7 history of ascending numbness and weakness which started from both lower limbs and rapidly involved the upper limbs.

By the 3rd day of onset of symptoms, weakness has gotten to the neck with associated difficulty in swallowing.

There was a history of a febrile illness 1/52 before onset of symptoms.

His clinical diagnosis is Gullian Barre syndrome with busbar involvement.

Patient is at risk of respiratory muscles paralysis and requires urgent intubation and full ICU care.

He also requires urgent treatment with Human Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) at 24 gm daily for 5 days.
