Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC this morning stormed the State Party Secretariat to submit more petitions against the Congress that held in the state two Saturdays ago.

The Issues
1. Two Weeks ago, Governor Gboyega Oyetola led his faction of the APC in Osun to hijack forms meant for the state Ward Congress and also compromised the committee that came from Abuja. The committee was led by one Hon. Elegbeleye, a sidekick of Sen. Iyiola Omisore, who is not Governor Oyetola’s godfather.

2. Meanwhile, the National Headquarters inaugurated an appeal committee last Thursday to treat all pending appeal cases against the ward congress before it could proceed to the Local Government Congresses across the country.


3. The Appeal Committee led by Ambassador Obed Wadzain on it’s arrival time the state yesterday held a press conference at the party secretariat and Stated clearly will treat all the appeal filed before it.

4. Consequently, it announced that they received only 30 petitions from 30 wards out of the over 300 wards in the state against the last congress in the state.

5. It further state that what it means is that the other wards don’t have any issues. Of course this became an issue as the Ilerioluwa Faction of the party led by the Governor only wrote the list of award Executives inside his sitting room as against majority of the party members who had trooped out enmasse to elect their ward executives.

6. The committee encouraged members of the party who are not contented with the ward congress in the state to submit their petitions before 9am this morning. Subsequently, party members from all the wards in the state stormed the party secretariat to submit more petitions of their own.

7. As early as 8am, members of the APC in the state thronged the Osun APC Secretariat in their thousands with petitions from majority of the wards.

8. As at the time of filing this report, the appeal committee has arrived the secretariat assuring them that all their petitions will be considered!
