[b][/b]A new era in football just started at Barca after the la Liga kick started for the Catalans on a good note. The first official game was played at home today and it was quite impressive as the home team fought to get a well deserved victory over Real Sociedad who was a hard nut to crack for Barca in the previous laliga season.

The game ended 4:2 in favour of FC Barcelona, Gerrard Pique who had the first goal for Barca in la Liga this season found the net as it was also a good opportunity for the striker Martin Braithwaite to prove his worth by scoring two goals and an assist.

Sergi Roberto made it four for the Catalans as the opponents could only salvage a two-goal deficit.
