This is long overdue. Vesting the administration of the FCT in hands of the president is giving the president too much unnecessary powers. An elected Mayor who will be a son of the soil is a just and fair way to administer the FCT. It will also give the indigenous Gbagyi people a sense of belonging.

In all honesty, FCT doesn't need a minister. However, I am yet to see an amendment in the constitution that is in the interest of individual Nigerians or targetted at alleviating the suffering of the masses
