They want to change minister to mayor, but they're not willing to restructure the country and let it run on the same system they're copying this from. In the US, UK, Australia, Canada etc where they use Mayor, they practice the right system of governance where each generating units, wards, States function independently. Not the HOW ARE U? System of governance we're practising here ooo. Do the right thing if u want to use Mayor. |

Akell:governor's in other states of the federation are plundering their state wealth and resources due to their executive independence, now someone is trying to introduce that to FCT, creating more stealing hands in the system. Buhari hand will be stealing on one side when the new governor will be stealing on the other hand. Nonsense and ingredients. I like the idea of Mayor but that's not how it works in Western world. |

This is long overdue. Vesting the administration of the FCT in hands of the president is giving the president too much unnecessary powers. An elected Mayor who will be a son of the soil is a just and fair way to administer the FCT. It will also give the indigenous Gbagyi people a sense of belonging. 1 Like |

Maxymilliano: Christians are more than Muslims in the FCT. what this means is that an Igbo man or any other Christian will contest for the post of mayor of FCT and probably win. |

In all honesty, FCT doesn't need a minister. However, I am yet to see an amendment in the constitution that is in the interest of individual Nigerians or targetted at alleviating the suffering of the masses |
