For your second point, we all know that Dakuku Peterside is by far, the most prominent Opobo politician. Just a few years ago, he had this to say in a gathering.

In a shocking revelation, the member representing Opobo-Nkoro Federal constituency Hon. Dakuku Peterside declared that the Opobo people have their roots in Igboland as the founder and first king of the Kingdom is an Igbo man. Hence Opobos are Igbo.
