first, lets confirm the status of your bb.
Go to Advance option >> Simcard. then type 'MEPD' Get me the status of service provider and network

Its already off.. But when I try to open the bb browser it asks for a wi-fi connection

If your bis is active, you can always disallow wifi connection

type this code on the screen, make sure you press alt before typing the numbers. The code is 83B0AC3C.This should take you to another screen called OS engineering screen. Then scroll down to Device info, and from device info, scroll down and u ll see MEP
