Leadership is not in the office occupied but it is in knowing the way, showing the way, going the way and helping your people to find their feet in life.

Deputy Chairman Communications Committee and member Representing Ukanafun abd Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem has shown capacity, competence and the fact that government can indeed work depending on who is in charge.

Within just two years as a first term Federal Lawmaker, Idem has

1. Sponsored 16 Bills

2. 14 Motions

3. Initiated and completed 26 life touching projects/programmes

4. Initiated skills empowerment for 5000 constituents - 1000 were empowered in December 2020, 1500 will be empowered in December 2021, another 1500 in 2022 and the remaining 1000 in December 2023.

5. Sponsored construction of Digital laboratory in Akwa Ibom state University, Obio Okpa Campus

6. Initiated the process of digitizing education in the federal constituency - commissioned 4 nos digital centres with each equipped with 40 computer sets, internet and other digital resources in rural schools

7. Developed social pact with the people, displayed highest level of social maturity and emotional intelligence.
