It's a win for the series.

It is the first 'Big series' compared to GOT because it's the first of a series of big TV shows marketed as GOT's successor to come out.
Even Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon, said the TV department should get him his own GOT.

Other shows touted as the next GOT is HOTD, LOTR etc. Which are yet to release.

Just finished binge-watching ELITE series for the first time.
I'm left with a bittersweet feeling.
First if all, it seems like the writers do have a thing for threesoms and polyamorous relationships.

Imagine 4 seasons of seeing a relationship of three people,as if normal 2 people relationships don't have enough troubles. Too much force feeding of gay sex and lesbian sex, sometimes at the same time.
I'm all for gay representation on TV but not at the expense of a quality screen time.

I still don't get the role of Patrick in season 4. He's has to be the worst character role in TV ever. He really had no meaningful purpose. At least they really did well in developing catayena's character.

Malik was also a useless character to introduce. Why introduce him to Nadia and Omar when he serves no purpose to them eventually?

Well, away with the bad sides. As for the good part.
The 1st and 2nd seasons were very brilliant.
Depicting the struggle between social classes, wealth inequalities and struggle against injustices.
It really was an intriguing plot line. Nice suspense too. Shame they had to depart from all these and introduce very useless characters. At season 4, the series had lost its essence.
It really needs to end now.

It affects other block buster series coming out from the same distribution network.

So they are trying to manage spacing, it's normal and it makes sense.

But i think the wheel of Time will come out before the lord of the rings.

The wheel of Time season 2 is almost ready and they are very glad about it and this is why they have to manage spacing.

There is nothing like because lord of the rings has a larger fanbase.
You can't know for sure untill the series officially premier.
The Lord of the rings movie is a total different project than the series so the series can flop or the series can trend, no one is certain for now.

And this isn't about what series has a larger fan base. Like i said the wheel of Time and the lord of the rings are not the only series by Amazon coming out next year.

Blockbuster series from the amazons coming out next year are the boys, the expanse and carnival row and each series has its own dedicated fan base which are very huge especially the boys.

So you can see it's all about spacing having to release

And many more series next year.
You can see the headache Amazon is facing.
This isn't about which fan base is larger, this is about making money.

The series isn't bad far from it. It has potential. It's the ridiculous over hyping thats the problem. I personally like it. It wasn't excellent but its the first season and the cast are still growing into their characters. They will only get better hopefully. The vfx for the final episode has to be worse especially the trollocs. The editing felt rushed. But the acting of padan fain and the dark one was really good in my opinion thumbs up there.

I feel this is the weakest episode for me. The encounter between Rand and the dark one felt underwhelming. But the story behind it seemed okay.

All in all a good s1 in my book not great but good. They certainly need to get better directors for S2. Amazon really has to chill with the release. I think the editing and vfx of the final episode is the way it is because it was rushed. I mean with the money spent it should look alot better.
