Paprika (an anime) inspired so many scenes from one of the best movies in recent time "INCEPTION" (which is my fav movie)

Anime like Perfect Blue inspired so many Hollywood movie scenes

Berserk (manga and anime) inspired many games like Dark Souls and one of the best video game in 2022

Ghost in A Shell has inspired so many Hollywood works...

Neon Genesis Evengelion is still being deciphered over 20 years after it's airing... (The show is too damn complex)

But no...anime is for kids...
I'm sure the people who take influence are kids too...
Christopher Nolan is a kid for taking some inspiration from Paprika

But Euphoria anime is the most fvcked up thing I've ever watched in my life...

I know it's nowhere near the most fvcked up anime...but that show is my limit..
I'm never again watching anything nearly as fvcked up or more fvcked up

PG-13 movie like Uncharted where someone was slashed across the throat but there was no blood ....is not for kids

But anime with plenty deaths, people being eaten alive, someone killing criminals around the world, someone committing genocide...is for kids

an anime with a father feeding his daughters their mother's corpse...is for kids , an anime with a man adding animal parts and genes to his daughter...is for kids

Yosi the regretful spy is 8/10
Just finished this epic spy series, it's a slow burner but very mature series and it's inspired by a true life story.
About the bomb of the embassy of Israel in Argentina unknownly orchestrated by a spy.
I really enjoyed the Series, very slow paced but gives you this nostalgic vibes.
Now we await season 2, so many unanswered questions.

I think spy series are now gradually growing on me.
Currently still following Tehran season 2.

The Nevers seasons one

This X-Men wannabe approaches the story from a perspective that Marvel has never revealed. Despite being an intriguing show, the season comes to a dismal conclusion. I'll do you a favor and recommend that you watch the most recent episode first. The show has made me yearn for a second season (something that the Wheel of Time could never do). There are about three well-developed antagonists, and I must see how they are resolved. Everything is on target, including the acting. Solid seven we got here.




Actually watched this sometime ago and couldn't get the next episode.

I found it intruiging.

I wasn't talking about Animes but like i said different likes for different people.
I don't hate Animes though, i was only concerned about the discussions in this thread, because i know there is an official Anime thread but if you all wants to talk about it in this thread then by all means Carry on.
It's been almost 20 years now i last watched Animes and the last i watched was Samurai. It was one of the most popular Anime back in the days.
We watched Avatar too which was kids favorite too back in the days.
I don't hate Animes, it's just that the time to watch it isn't there anymore.
I've got so many series to catch up to and more still coming.
If you notice, you will never see me in the movie thread because i don't watch movies too.
In a year, i probably watch not more than 5 movies that's because i am a series Addict.
But nevertheless, if you want to watch Animes then go on, you like what you like and i like what i like.

Yes it's from the trailer. Look closely. It's a mash up of Netflix's upcoming summer projects. I posted the teaser late last year na. It seems I'm the one really anticipating and following this show. Even Thekingishere wey dey drop update dey mum about it.

Yea, I wasn't comfortable with the gender swapping but Lucifer is kinda Androgynous. And the actress has a good reputation.


The Fox Lucifer show was great at first especially for its comedy but they got greedy and elongated it became comical. It shoulda ended at season 4.
