Also when I see lists like some rolling stone lists sometimes, they tell me nothing tangible about the show
That is why I don't take most critics seriously


Till date I prefer user reviews to critic reviews

If i google "Buhari is the best president, Nigeria has ever had", i would most likely find an article proving this point but we both know the man is total shambles.

So to "Google" and "looking for the right things" are two different things entirely. You will find this "Un Vague" reviews by randomly searching articles from every tom, dick and harry" on google.

As innnn....I seriously have a headache and my thumbs are numb from typing. Going round in circles just to prove that white is black which it is clearly not, i still can't decipher what his point actually is seriously.

I hope he blesses us with a detailed review, cuz i for one seriously want to see it.

But all my reviews on Nairaland about top shows always contain "elements that stand out in the show"
I always praise shows for these elements

It's just Vulture(.)com. I use the site too, their reviews are good. The recaps section is my favourite, discovered some good show there.

If I agree with 70% of their reviews of shows I've seen and I enjoy reading them, then it will become a go-to site...

On YouTube I mostly watch Critical Drinker cos I agree with about 70% of his reviews...not 100% but a good amount...and I enjoy his content too

I can only agree with a review if I've even watched the show

If I check for reviews of a show I haven't seen, it's because I'm looking for a reason to watch the show

An example is The Last of Us...
I hate horror shows but I've been looking for reviews in order to make myself watch it cos it's very hard for me to make myself watch horror

And I didn't find any review worthwhile...

I could as well screenshot all the pages I opened...nothing tangible

I simply google and check the reviews on some pages to find out a reason to watch

Now on the other hand, look at the first review I saw of Legend of the Galactic heroes

Look at how this alone gives me a reason to watch even without reading further

That is a proper review not the vague nonsense I saw in about 3 pages while searching for The Wire reviews

When an article has a section titled: what makes The Wire special and yet can't even answer its own question...
That is a worthless review

It states it's one of the best anime and tells me why...
That is what I want to know

It also states what the show is about, it's method of storytelling etc

You can see how the reviews not just talk about the great character relationships but also talk about how well the character development stands out

Reading comment about the wire characters from the screenshots is giving me goosebumps .nah mehn THE WIRE made me rate HBO more ,it's more real and relatable to the world than breaking bad in my opinion not taking anything away from breaking bad still the better show but the wire is just too deep and real .surely gonna watch it again.

Another banger of a show Better Call Saul ,if you are a breaking bad fan BCS is kinda a must watch somehow ,it makes you appreciate some special details about both series as a whole .
