This twin brother of FFK self. In my alumni platform, we are a body of professional engineers of varying degrees of successes, we rise up to fix our problems. Fix our children in similar fields. Though, I am not practicing for some reasons, yet an active member. I was impressed to discover how the widow of one of us who died recently was helped so the children of our late colleague would not suffer. In fact, the help is more than that from religious organizations. And, we of various religious biases.

Reno Omokiri has gone from a pastor he claimed to be to evil philosopher.

Even so called school alumni whatsapp group has been a fertile ground to scam rich ones in the group. I exited from our group immediately i sensed it.

On the contrary, I will say avoid those groups if you are poor cos most times all they do is to plan a get together and oppress the poor.... cheesy cheesy cheesy Just imagine you can't even contribute your monthly dues and you are being seen as a failure... cheesy cheesy I remember when I couldn't attend their get-together because I didn't have the cash to contribute the minimum amount....... Thank God I can contribute now but it wasn't funny then.... These days even if I am not attending I will still send my small contribution... Poverty na bastard.... Being broke is not funny ....
I'm telling bro, poverty na bad tin true true

There's no sense in what Reno just said!

Are you not always on social media Why didn't your alumni pull you down

You could as well ask people not to breathe because if people know that they are breathing...
there is ever sense in what he is saying, in this life when you hide your self you will have some problem to take of.

Very wrong and myopic advice that shows Reno isn't all that disciplined....

Exactly....
No matter how wealthy you are people would not misbehave as long as you have defined yourself and placed the right boundaries in the relation/friendship.
So Reno should speak from a personal lifestyle view rather than generalizing it.
For me I only have business relationships...once you go beyond that boundaries c'est fini

But you are wrong. This is a country where people always wish their problems away but never want to work to solve their problems. A country full of envy and discontented people. Honesty and sincerity means nothing. Greed everywhere, and frankly speaking, I doubt if Nigerians can nourish anything, rather they prefer to exhaust everything...
No matter how you define boundaries or relationships, they will always want more till they see the end of you and once they see that end, then they begin to avoid you.

Well said.
Folks in my secondary school whatsapp group are cautious and it is properly organised.
In instances where ex school mates have needed assistance, modulator informs the group and those willing help our willingly. Heck we raised 200k for a mate having difficult times in less than 24 hrs recently.

I like when he says people that see your young version will always disrespect you or feel entitled towards your success. Many people can relate with this especially with village people. The same people might not even be talking to you in school but that memory of knowing you from the alumni can create a sense of jealousy towards your success.

Even, what about your school alumni that always stalk you on Facebook to see when you will post a picture or update showing you in a glamorous environment?

It is a fact. But such group shouldn’t be avoided. Just read in ghost mode and comment when necessary because the panhandling and covert begging are out of this world.

Joined my University Group

All they do is chat a whole load of crap!!! Reached out to a former room mate that i saw on the group ...first question he asked was "So what do you do now?"...I ended the conversation...no time for willy wagging

Joined my Secondary School Group...

Even worse...never see a bunch of people chatting about nonsense, sharing silly memes and all. No one even discussing serious ideas. A fellow classmate was getting married and between all of them, they could only raise 70k...

I just muted the two groups and ignore them.

I totally agree with Reno... avoid them wealthy or not

I disagree with this advice mr Reno, you can not be wealthy and you don't belong to any group, be it church, class mate or whatever. and envy is everywhere even in the church. so this your advice is totally wrong. as a wealthy person, do the once you can and leave the rest.
