But if you were the one, duly elected into office, would you have quit when you have not done anything to warrant your shameful exit few months to your tenure termination? Just be candid?

I won't, but it seems to me he has already over stayed his welcome.

He appears too soft for that position or should one rather say he found himself at the time when he was supposed to be more daring to against the ruling party.
Or he was just compromised. Man was utterly useless as a PDP chairman and like Wike noted, PDP will never win a presidential election with that man and his band of clowns leading the party.

They use Nigerian youth truly to fend their interest. Irrespective of Secondus docile behavior, he has been seemed to have admirers in the party going by what played out about two weeks ago when vote of confidence was passed in his favor.

angry angry. That's deep though. Maybe that was just his style. He doesn't believe in being aggressive. About compromise, I may not be able to say.

Events of the coming few days will determine if he would simply move on or contest his removal.

Sure. But non contesting might be lesser in chances.

If that’s his style, then he has no business leading an opposition party in Nigeria. At least he should have been a bit aggressive, confrontational without violence.

Man was utterly useless

And if they're delisted you think any of these APGA, Labour etc can mount any stronger opposition? Well of course if the rest parties can all abort their ego and merge. The two bigger parties are well in the same boat, bros! No one is different.
APGA that will soon be history in the next anambra state governorship election cheesy

There's a saying, "You don't have to do the job, just get those who will get the job done"! I still believe that there are crops of actors who have been so appraised in leadership but they are not the ones doin it but had all the commendations to themselves after getting the right hands.

So he can't be entirely blamed for the laxity, his excos and other stakeholders should share the blame of not being vociferous and tactical in playing the opposition well. However, this bring us to the fact that October was nearer than ever. Don't you think?

Hmmm, indeed...but what then do you propose?
We are drifting towards one party system. This is dangerous for a country like Nigeria that don't learn from mistakes. One party is like an AK47 in the hand of a raving mad man in the market. Imagine what he can do with that.
The PDP is not even providing a good opposition politics, let it die if it wants to die, apga will replace it.

My brother, we can only just hope they can all find their feet or at least merge and become a formidable voice.

OBJ said he's retired back then but can only give his advice. There need to be an assemblage of party to come together and give APC a good fight come 2023.

What's happening to PDP is not good for our democracy. One wish a fusion of stronger party can emerge so we don't fall into one party affair at the end.
Why is it not good for our democracy?
If it was APC, you people will be jubilating

True. The opposition politicking is a ruse. I hope stronger parties can emerge.

I agree. He should have been allowed to run out his tenure. Maybe they just don’t want his further interference in party affairs.

Jimasun, this is not about if it was APC, people will jubilate. The main take is that One party system will be disastrous, even if it were PDP at the helm and other parties were dying, we need to charge them strongly to brace up otherwise the single ruling party will become like a gestapo styled government muscling the parliament, judiciary and all other strata into succumb.

Opposition is good because it keeps healthy rivalry in a sane clime.
