In the Saudi Arabia, they are not respected as a black man but their situation is better than those hustlers who came to hustle at the lower level. How much nigerian doctors are paid in Saudi Arabia is the same pay with Arabian nurses. Their Arabian own doctors who just came out of school earn 4times more than a Nigerian doctor and that Arabian doctor is still their boss. Nigerian doctors work longer hours while female Arabian nurses closes early yet their pay is equal. Nigeria is finished. Those doctors truly are going for greener pastures but will never be respected. |

Who’s to blame? Nigeria’s elites sold the country out to Fulani. The doctors who migrate now may no longer have a place to return to in Nigeria before long, as Jihadists take total control of Nigeria.

Asides from religious tourism, why would someone want to live or work in Saudi Arabia? The desperation is real sha. If a job pays me N300k in Nigeria, I wouldn't leave it for N1 million in Saudi Arabia. Can't risk abandoning what I've grown to love (family, culture, food, etc) for that pay gap. I believe the average Nigerian doctor with few years of work experience earns about 300k. I really hope they have genuine reasons and maybe exit plans. Btw, the Nigerian Medical Association and Medical Schools, Deans of Medical Faculties and Provosts at large should stop f00ling themselves. It's obvious we don't have enough doctors in the country. The profession has evolved way too much now to make life difficult for young Nigerians trying to gain admission. If we begin to graduate at least 200,000 new doctors every year, this would no longer be news. |
