The lord has visited me and my household with the good news of study permit approval. Join me to thank the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, for what he has done for me, to HIM we give all the glory. PS: it’s a long read… APPLICATION TIMELINE FIRST APPLICATION School LOA received- 21st April 2021 Confirmation of online submission – 23rd April, 2021 Upfront Medicals– 21st April, 2021 Biometrics: 26th April, 2021 Medical Passed: 21st May, 2021 DELAY- June 17th 2021. GCMS Notes requested: 23rd June 2021 GCMS Notes Received: 27th July 2021 SECOND APPLICATION: Submitted – 4th August, 2021 Medical Request: 30th September, 2021 BVL and PPR – November 3rd, 2021. DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED: PROOF OF FINANCIAL MEANS SECTION: Ticket MybankStatement Naira account- 1 year Ticket Mybankstatement USD account - 1 year One year Salary Payslips Fidelity Net Benefits SOA (Stock) Pension statement of account Tax Clearance Certificates Tuition Deposits receipts- Paid 10K CAD CLIENT INFORMATION SECTION: Letter of Explanation to address my initial refusal grounds – 2 pages Detailed statement of purpose/ study plan- 3 pages EMPLOYMENT DOCUMENTS Employer confirmation of employment/job roles Employment offer letter and offer confirmation Promotion letters and focal point Training certificates (The unsigned certificates are online trainings and printed from my company login portal) QUALIFICATION Neco Certificate (Post-Secondary) Degree Certificate and Transcript WES transcript evaluation report ( I used this to counter initial refusal point that claimed I had a higher degree than proposed program) Curriculum Vitae IELTS Result – General RECOMMENDATIONS Reference Letter from prospective employer FAMILY INFORMATION / HOME TIES Property valuation report - Valued at 35M Birth attestation from National Population Commission Consent letter from Spouse Spouse International Passport / travel history Marriage Certificate Change of name documents My children birth certificates Family Pictures OTHERS Email trail for intent declaration for US Baby delivery US delivery receipts ADDRESSING REFUSAL GROUND: The generic reason was Purpose of visit. The GCMS note buttressed it: 1) Applicant has a higher degree than proposed study in Canada. 2) Proposed study in Canada does not relate to Career and previous study. Note my proposed study is PGC in Project Management. I did a detailed LOE to address the note. For 1) I have a Bsc in Geology and going for PGC hence my proposed study is definitely higher. That was an error on their part. I submitted my Wes evaluation report which I did for EE just to show what my current level of degree is. 2) I studied Geology and I am a Well completions Engr. I explained how my course of study was a pre requisite to gain employment as a trainee engineer in my firm. worked for some years and transitioned from core technical roles to business development and management of projects in my department. I extensively explained why I needed the study to progress further in my career since I already have on the job trainings in my career, hence imperative to back up my skills with the right certifications. I provided my promotion letters to buttress that and also submitted a confirmation of employment letter from my organization (on company letter head paper signed by the HR) that outlined all my job roles from joining the company at my different designations, this letter also showed my annual salary. Then I backed it up with fervent prayers, fasting, seed sowing, kingdom evangelism, midnight prayers and praises to God. My major bible verses were Obadiah 1: 17, Mark 11:23, Zechariah 4: 7. That is pretty much the little I did and God did the greatest and perfected this imperfect application to success. Note: After the refusal on the 17th of June, my spouse and I decided to go ahead and activate our plan B which is the UK. I immediately started my application for Msc Project management. I got admissions and decided to go with one of the schools, paid the tuition deposit, family went for TB test and it was on the day I was picking up my TB test certificates that I received my GCMS notes. I immediately told my husband that I will have to re-apply to Canada since the VO concerns did not hold water and maybe they did not review the employment documents I submitted. It was not easy to convince him but .... Do not give up on this journey. The wait can be daunting but you have to be steadfast. While preparing for application submission, it’s important to plan the POF part right in time, (it is a major refusal grounds), read / research as much as possible. Thanks to everyone that is contributing to our numerous questions here. I must say I learnt so much from this platform and that was a major boost for my DIY. If you can do it yourself, please go for it but if you do not have the confidence or maybe do not have all the time, please use a licensed agent and possibly a guru in this field. I wish everyone all the best on this journey. God will perfect it for everyone awaiting PPR in Jesus name, Amen. You are next in line for this awesome testimony. Unto the next!!! viviangogos: 39 Likes |

Hi guys, a friend wants to book Ethiopian airlines for December as that seems to be the cheapest he can book now. However, he is worried that the war going on in Ethiopia might cause cancellation of flight or some other issues. What would you advise him to do. Should he book another flight like Egypt air? 2 Likes |

My timeline (please overlook any typo) So I started the whole process January 2021 though that was my first application. I got admission to university of Regina undergraduate late December 2020 since then I started gathering documents and I submitted the application march 3 and I got a refusal June 27 (ah I cried oo) though I used only my sponsor's bank statements and he was a third party. I didn't even know about nairaland until my visa refusal...Thank you gurus for the timeline you shared. So for my second application, I started repackaging, I didn't even order any gcms note because I know the visa officer was right in giving me the refusal becoming of my lump sum and I didn't bother to show proof of relationship. THINGS I DID DIFFERENTLY: 1. I went to my high school to collect a reference letter because I was a prefect, a JET club official and I belong to a NGO so they wrote a letter to consider me a visa 2. I submitted a certificate of my NGO participation 3. Letter of explanation which was written my me PS I didnt use any SOP since I heard by some people that they are the same 4 My bank statements which closing balance of 18 million. I haven't paid my fees just tuition deposit of 500cad. I used my sister as sponsor and I made it clear that she have been saving up in my account so I included her CAC, her birth certificate and tax clearance 5. I submitted my Dad land receipts and survey plan. Though my dad and I bear the same name so they will think its mine..lol 6. Siblings birth certificates 7. Reference letter from banker saying I have been using the account for years and no fraudulent activities have occurred. I was refused previously based on personal assets and finances status and family ties.. So here is my new timeline Application date: August 14 Medical request: October 8 Correspondence and PPR: November 3 IT HAS BEEN GOD ALL THE WAY. ALL THANKS TO HIM AND TO MY NAIRALAND FAMILY. it will end in praise for those waiting for their PPR. 31 Likes |
