IjJudy: Yes you can do that especially if you have British passport or other form of permanent stay paper, only that you have to convince the airlines if questioned, you will not be sent back once you get to Nigerian airport but you will be asked some questions as to why you are travelling with expired passport. |

akaprince: Should not be a problem at all and all are fine to use ... just check that TB and PCC are still valid as those two have short expiry date when you are uploading you documents either self or assisted, also upload the old and new passport so basically the visa officer will see the old passport as part of your document . |

Please assist with ideas on how to adjust the bath shower temperature, so it remains and stays warm/hot during bath.... This is our 2nd house in the Uk, initially we thought the boiler or shower in the first house was faulty so we just managed it but we moved into somewhere else and its same thing, its even worse off, 2mins into bath, water turns cold then takes another 2mins to get hot. Boiler has been adjsted to pre-heat, we try not to use any other equipement taht uses hot water- dishwasher/washing machine e.t.c that uses water duuring bath yet its same. Its a bit frustrating, Pls make una help me chuk mouth. Note : house heats up perfectly, not sure its d boiler, tap in the kitchen runs hot water for longer mins. |

The severity of the ailment that you want to treat with surgery will determine the priority level and how fast they respond to you. You will need to register with your local GP if you haven’t done so. One of the easiest ways to get same day appointment with GPs would be to start calling at 08:00am until they pick and use the phrase “emergency appointment” when you ask for an appointment. Also, you can go to a walk-in centre which will usually be at the closest NHS hospital to urs but be prepared to wait between 3-6hours generally. So I’d go with power bank, headphones and some munches. They will assess your situation and if it’s urgent they will take you straight to theatre at the earliest available slot after completing all papers works obviously but if they see that it’s something that can be managed then you will have to wait on the queue unfortunately. Goodluck and may God give you the strength to cope with all of these. Osoderi: 7 Likes 3 Shares |

The informant said that was what they won't through. The husband was not allowed to travel with the children because he has a BRP and the kids has vignette bearing the main applicant's name and not his'. So she had to go and bring them. Was he here already before going to bring the kids or they all came in at same time with vignettes? Please are you on student visa or other forms or permanent residency? Santa2: |

wanney:it can't stay warm forever, the thermostat regulates the temperature. Best is to put the knob at slightly few inches below the middle. If it gets so hot, the thermostat turns it off. 1 Like |

Thanks, I have a student visa, my brp expires sometime next year. Getting into Nigeria might be easy, but my concern is coming back into UK. Please what's your take, should I apply for renewal here? Any idea how long before the new passport will come, I am asking because of the children's vignette, so it does not expire while waiting for passport. justwise: |

akaprince: Not sure but one would think since you have the old passport, you should be able to proof you are the same person with both passports. If you are yet to put in your visa application, then I would suggest you update the documents with the new passport details by reaching out to the respective issuers. I know you can change details on IOM certificate after paying a fee. |

Osoderi:Except you've an emergency, I'm afraid the NHS is frustrating with long waiting lists. I don't think you'll need to pay for the surgery as you've paid your IHS but don't think there's much you can do about the waiting time. I know people that have had to go to other countries or even back home to have elective procedures than wait months or even years here. All the best. 2 Likes |

Osoderi:They will access your situation. If it’s urgent and life threatening, they will attend to you accordingly. I advice you call them and start the process as you continue to gather information because if they were supposed to deal your case in Like 6 months time, if you don't start the process, 6 months will still come and go. I don't have experience on this, it's just what I assume should be obtainable. 3 Likes |

IjJudy:student visa is a form of residency that’s why you have BRP ie. Biometric ‘residence’ permit As long as your Nigerian passport is valid on outbound and inbound travel dates, you will board the plane. dunno how else you want me to say it There is a reason for issue and expiry dates on a passport , if it is not yet expiry date why should there be a problem? 1 Like |

wanney: It depends on the size of the hot water reservoir.......... What to do, turn shower on, wet body, turn off, wash body without shower on (or turn on small), when body fully washed....... Rinse body off .......... . This sequence, should not exceed 2 minutes, or you love to sing in the shower, whilst shower is running........ I wish I had this type of your shower, my family are simply ignorant of the fact we are on a water meter.......... 3 Likes |

Lexusgs430: Lol @wanney, how about complaining to your landlord and ask them to fix it - whatever ‘it’ means? I’m surprised this is a thing in 2022 UK, and I must admit I’ve never seen or heard anything like it. If it’s an inconvenience, like it sounds, you should probably explore the possibility of getting the landlord to fix it. 2 Likes |
