The family of 7 died after eating suya they were confirmed dead after eating the popular barbecue popularly known as suya with juice in Umeze Umuakanu Umuahia North LGA, Abia state.

According to ABN TV reports that Mr. Jersey who is the father of the house was the one who bought the suya which all the family members, including the extended family who came for holidays, also eat together.

It was gathered that they were said to have started throwing up after eating the suya suspected to have been p*isoned.

The wife, Mrs Ogba Jessey, and his son were said to have survived, and currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
