The cost associated with this Covid-19 menace is very worrisome. I have spent almost 140k on tests alone. One at my country of departure; another in Lagos on the expiration of my 7-day period, and I will still do another one (at approx. N52k) when I am leaving. Meanwhile, I am fully-vaccinated. This is ridiculously insane! 1 Like |

Skoonheid: It is fascinating to see all this anger being spewed against a person who takes the virus seriously enough to share published details of the pandemic's spread every day. To appease those angry people, let me reassure them by saying "God forbid bad ting." In other words, don't bother wearing face masks or keeping social distance in crowded places, because Papa God will surely obey your demand that all "Bad Ting" must be forbidden. One can only hope this hatred of the truth doesn't translate into stalking when members of the "scamdemic" crew wind up falling victim to the coronavirus. Ms. Dyt, this update is very much appreciated by people genuinely curious about the level of infection being recorded during Nigeria's second wave of Covid19 illness. While a full-on lockdown might not be implemented during this second wave, less disruptive preventive measures could include closures of places where people gather, if the pandemic shows no sign of abating. This daily update allows readers to keep their fingers on the pulse of the nation's health. |
