Penultimate Saturday, all roads which led to Aba Recreation Club, being venue of the 23rnd graduation ceremony of Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools; located at N0. 2 Howells Crescent Aba, Abia State, experienced a huge gridlock as commuters and other road users were kept on hold for some hours for want of space given the number of attendance ; invited guests , partners , strategic associates of the school , parents, as well as friends who graced the watershed event as it has become a ritual each time the school prepares for this remarkable event at the heart of Enyimba City, as Abia State is known for.

What is the big deal ? As usual, the staff and management of Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools , one of the listed and government approved premier institutions for Nursery, Primary and Secondary education in Abia State, under the distinguished directorate of the duo of Hon. Chief Ezekiel Chukwukere (Ogbuhuru Uzo of Aba, I know this Man) and his lovely wife, Arc . Mrs. Adaugo Sylvia Chukwukere, were able to put together an event that wore a close resemblance to typical University matriculation and convocation ceremonies , albeit all within the halls of a school which started from the very scratch to become a reference point by members of the academic community as the Abia State Education Board Management gave it approval to conduct both internal and external examinations.

It is worthy to note , with shoulders high, that Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools was among the few government accredited schools selected by the Clintonel Innovation Centre as one of the best secondary schools in Nigeria for the 2020/2021 academic session; having participated and performed creditably well in both state and national competitions.


Executive Director of the institution , Hon. Chief Ezekiel Chukwukere , in his public address during the ceremony noted that Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools also participated in " Spell It Battle of Champions " contest organised by World Best Educative TV, and made an impressive and outstanding success while coming back home with bags of honour; emerging Top 10 finalist at the state grand finale of Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi states, respectively .

A former Chief of Staff and former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe , in his short note of remarks said that Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools of Aba is doing excellently well in character modification of her students while sharpening their self confidence and skills as leaders of tomorrow. The political boardroom strategist , Ndukwe, also thanked the school for the rare honoured of being one of the award reciepients .

A dispassionate analysis of the sterling academic performance and presentation of the students of Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools, Aba, Abia State, by this reporter during their graduation ceremony , leaves no one in any doubt that the future belongs to them as the school grooms future well disciplined and responsible citizens that could take over the leadership of the county.

The good news remains that, Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools is fully equipped and prepared in impacting technology based and innovative -driven education to her students as the school thrives to make her centre one of the catchment areas for Jamb and Microsoft Certificate Examinations just as it as the approvals for GPT, PSLAT, NECO, SSCE examinations in line with the directives of the Abia State Ministry of Education.

With the introduction of E-learning in the school's academic syllabus and online teaching by qualified teachers, no doubt, Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools Aba ranks top in the A-list of performing schools in Abia State.

However, as the graduands from various secondary and basic levels walked down to the podium to receive their award prizes before the admiration of their parents , guardians , relations and invited guests, the elated school proprietor , Chief Ezekiel Chukwukere felt fulfilled that his passion and vision of advancing the society and humanity through quality education is being actualized through the establishment of Practical Computer Comprehensive Schools , 24 years ago !

Chairman of the 23rd Graduation Ceremony of PCCS and Co-ordinator of Enugu State University of Science & Technology, Institute of Education , Sandwich Tutorials Information Points , Aba, Mr. Anyadike Ezebuiro commended the Executive Director of the school, Chief Ezekiel Chukwukere alongside members of the management staff for demonstrating committement , excellence and dedication in moulding the students and preparing them for the tasks ahead.

Chief Ezekiel Chukwukere served as the Chairman of OSUCO Alumni of 1986 set , Chairman of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPP), Aba South Chapter, Comrade Temple Nwosu and the General Secretary of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPP) , Aba South Chapter, the doyen of education management , Arc. Mrs. Adaugo Sylvia Chukwukere were also spotted at by the media lens of 4th Estate Reporters.

The high point of the event is an award presentation to well deserved organisations , top government functionaries, private and public figures who have impacted lives very positively in their various chosen fields of endeavours . Most dedicated staff of the school , however , smiled home with their awards.
