Danny Has Dared To Bring To Shape Things Back In Place In “the Dare” by rightbook8(f): 10:00am On May 21, 2011 |
Childhood is not about just fun and playing, freaking out with friends, having a blast when out for a vacation. Life care a fig for anyone, and no matter even you are a child, life still teaches you its lessons in a harsh manner. John Boyne has defined this fact in his latest, titled “The Dare”, using his winning style of storytelling, and just like his previous works like “The Boy in striped Pyjamas”, here in “The Dare”, again he opted for explaining things from a child’s angle. The central character in this book, named Danny Delaney, is super excited to have a blast on his forthcoming summer vacation. So many places to visit, so many hangouts to make, so many games are to be tried. These are all Danny had imagined, but life had something entirely different in place for him. Rather than enjoying his vacation, he discovers that none other his mother is accused of driving recklessly, and her driving has resulted a serious accident that has cost a child. The child is in coma, and already her mother is facing the trial for conviction. At the age of 12, Danny has no option but to shoulder the tough times his family is facing. His father is fighting his battle out to save his mother, and Danny has to accept that the world is not the one he had always expected to be. Rather than a lovely place to live, life has shown its true color to him, and suddenly he realizes that it takes a mere second to change everything. Danny is trying things his way, and the sole aim for him is now to save his mother from all accusations. Unfortunate, but this incident has made Danny experience the bitter taste of life at such an early age. Crafted with a touching storyline, clearly “The Dare” is the story for not just the children, but also for all the adults. “The Dare” certainly deserves a place at your bookshelf to reflect your taste for quality book works, and just a sneak through www.rightbooks.in/product_details.asp?pid=9780552775762 will bring this Black Swan publication right at your reading table.
