How to Stay in Prayer even when you can't speak in Tongues

Prayer is very important in the lives of every Christian. It's a time to communicate to God, it's a time to yearn out all your desires, it's a time to intercede for others, it's a time to war in spiritual battles against the kingdom of darkness. You've probably heard that a prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian, so take your prayer life serious. Midnight prayer is also very important to every Christian, this is when the battle of darkness is intense, you don't want the enemy to break into your life and steal from you or pollute you so you have the obligation to remain alert in the midnight. Jesus says when man sleeps the enemy comes and sow tares among the wheat! Matthew 13:25. It's understandable that many Christians are yet to pray in tongues but that doesn't mean you don't have the Holy Spirit, you have it but you are just yet to fully notice it and yield to it, if you can you will speak in tongue.

If you don't speak in tongues this shouldn't be a barrier to your prayer life, Endeavor to have it in mind that prayer should be highly prioritized in your life, so you can pray in this order:

_When you pray, pray in this manner:_

1a. Praise and Worship for some minutes

1b. Thanksgiving (thank God for everything you can remember)

2. Forgiveness of Sin (ask for the blood of Jesus to cleanse you and anyone you can remember from every form of sin)

3. Pray for the Holy Spirit to come upon you.

4. Ask for God's protection upon you, and anyone or anything you can remember.

5. Ask for supplication for your needs.

6. Pray for people you know.

7. Pray for the church and your pastor.

8. Pray for Nigeria and your state and those in authorities.

9. Pray again for the holy spirit to come upon you.

10. Pray for the day.

11. Decree what you want for the day.

12. Thank God for the answerered prayer and go back to bed.

Before you complete all these an hour should have gone and your spirit renewed and strengthened for victory. If you have the in-filling of the Holy Spirit to the speaking of tongues then this is a great asset in your prayer time, use it, flow in the spirit and bring down the presence and power of God into your environment.
