U.S. troops has left Afghanistan after a 20-year campaign, leaving the Taliban in full control of the country and Kabul's international airport for the first time in decades.

Fighters triumphantly entered into the facility hours after the final U.S. troops were airlifted out of the country. Speaking to reporters Taliban leaders pledged to secure the country, quickly reopen the airport, and grant amnesty to former enemies. flanked by fighters from the group's Badri unit as they walked across the tarmac. "Afghanistan is finally free," he said.
