post=105362349: Agbami exploration site with (OML) 127 & 128 is in Lagos, Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Company (YFP) has exploration site in Lagos. Even the Ibile Oil and Gas Company owned by Lagos State govt. is into Oil and gas. The list is endless but it seems noone wants to push for anything in South West. Go to Badagry, Epe and those riverine areas, you'll find oil and gas fields there. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Elvinci101: It's the lackadaisical attitude of my people that worries me not landmass.. South West has everything from Oil beds to sea ports to tech hubs but it seems they are just there without meaning. I wonder the kind of education we claim to have if we can't push for or lobby to get what others are getting. At the end of the day, outsiders will still be the ones to get the non-oil jobs while the land owners roam the streets jobless. Yorubas need to think o.. o ye ka ronu jinle 8 Likes 1 Share |

flokii:keep quiet. We're not talking about red oil, we're talking about crude oil and gas. Agbami 127 & 128 may not meet the 13% accreditation threshold, to be a producing states. If Lagos has oil Wells as you implied, they would have been added. You don't know more than those in the know. Lagos State government forming Ibile Oil and gas company doesn't make Lagos an oil producing state. Ondo has oil, but Imo state has displaced it with the recent mega 43 oil Wells recovered from Rivers, added to the ones they had before recovery, and are in court to recovery the disputed 3 oil Wells which Rivers State government appealed 23 Likes 1 Share |

post=105362667:Exactly. The issue of inclusion into Oil producing states, isn't a thing Lagos/Ibadan Express way media propaganda will do. DPR will look at the veracity of their claim and properly vet it. 13 Likes |

Supremos: The States in SE shouldn't be more than 2 but for the mago mago and victim mentality, they carved out tiny tiny states to make it 5. yet still asking for more. Need I remind you that Niger state is 2 times the landmass of the entire SE region meaning you'll get 2 SE from Niger State. The inequality in this country is just too much. 4 Likes 1 Share |

You're not wrong bro but that's not the point. These Wells You're talking about ain't producing enough, they should push for more explorations. Anyone can drill Wells, na production be the Issue. If you truly have a sizable pretroleum reserve in the west you'd be commplaining of oil spillage and environmental degradation and not this whole epistle you just wrote flokii: 7 Likes |

flokii:Whether Niger state is 50million times bigger than SE, or not, is immaterial. Nigeria has 6 geopolitical zones with each zone having at least 6 states, and therefore for equity sake, SE must be given the 6th state for equal representation. 24 Likes 1 Share |

Furious1: You see this is why I say Northerners are way smarter.. Buhari that ordered NNPC to search for Oil in North knows what he is doing. From there NNPC will enter JV-partnership with indigenous and multinational Oil companies and spoil them silly with concessions to establish in the North like they did in the Niger Delta. Over the years, the focus had been on Niger Delta and the neighbouring Eastern States because of shared pipelines and oil infrastructure in those areas owned by private and public institutions unlike South West region. I know so many Yorubas that own Oil giants in Niger Delta. How I wish private people can go into Oil and Gas infrastructure development in South West so we too can benefit from the 13% derivation largesse. 4 Likes |

According to the approval letter through its secretary, Mr M.B. Shehu, and addressed to Governor Obiano, the Commission, approved the attribution of eleven oil wells wholly to Anambra state. It also approved attribution of Anambra River One, Two, and Three oil wells, to be shared on fifty- fifty percent basis between Anambra and Kogi states, pending the final delineation of boundaries of the two states. WHY IS KOGI DRAGGING OIL IN ANAMBRA RIVERS, DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO ANYBODY. THE OIL IS IN ANAMBRA RIVER, NOT KOGI RIVER. THE BODY OF WATER IS ACTUALLY NAMED ANAMBRA RIVER. 16 Likes 1 Share |
