The guy could have been grilled at home due to parental pressure to study medicine and when he realized people who are not as brilliant as he is are getting admission he forged his own to look higher because that's what people expect him to have. And when the lie caught on he couldn't control it anymore. It's possible it was his father who took the decision to sue without thinking. You can even see that his lawyer is begging for JAMB to investigate first. If he was so sure he won't be begging them.

Unfortunately he may just have ruined his chances in life with this stunt.

His parents obviously didn't teach him that. They probably put a lot of pressure on him and compared him to other kids. That's why he felt the need to do something so stupid. He didn't even come clean when he was asked to until he has now been handed over to the police. JAMB will probably use him to shore up their bad reputation taken a hit.

I'm not saying that messages can't be forged. But sms messages are not proof for jamb results so no university would accept that so I don't see any reason why he would forge just the sms.
Leaving him aside, does it also mean that every other person that has multiple results forged their results because this didn't happen to him alone.
Let them give him another exam and let it be marked by an independent body in the presence of everyone

I also wrote jamb this year and I know that the case of multiple results is true and I don't care if you believe it or not. And I didn't just believe anything, I knew about this issue even before this year's jamb was written only for the same thing to happen again this year.
