Bube Altine, a grains trader from Shinkafi confirmed the military operations to AFP, saying fighter jets had been flying in the area since Saturday.

“Soldiers are in the forest and jets have been flying overhead but nobody can say what is happening,” Altine said.

Why did it take them so long before launching offensive against bandits, but operations in other regions as you mentioned are done without delay? Those people who have been killed by the bandits cannot be brought back to life. They woke up when NDA was invaded.
