(When a younger Cheat meets an older and Bigger Cheat)

According to the report at our disposal, IKPNews can reliable informed you that Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State is currently at loggerheads with one of the three Senators representing Akwa Ibom State at the National Assembly over the Senator’s refusal to live up to the terms of the agreement of his electoral funding.
According to our source, who craved anonymity, Governor Udom is very disappointed in the former deputy Governor, HE, Senator Chris Ekpeyong, who is now the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North Senatorial district at the National Assembly for his outright refusal to pay back the N500M the Governor loaned him to bankroll his electoral campaign in 2019.

Governor Udom Emmanuel, whom we were reliably informed went all out to fund and ensure victory for the former deputy Governor over his (the Governor’s) benefactor, the former Governor, HE. Senator (Dr) Godswil Obot Akpabio, who is now the Hon. Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, had thrown so much money aside N500M that he categorically stated that he was lending the former deputy Governor, now Senator, to be paid back after his victory, and subsequent emolument as a Senator. In a situation of biting the finger that fed him, according to our source, the Senator is claiming that he did not plan on standing for election, and as such he is not going to pay back the said N500M as agreed between him and the Governor.

Senator Ekpeyong, who immediately after the 2019 general election started a new building at the Shelter Afrique high brow of the State, was said not to utilize a dime of the borrowed N500M for his election, as he was cunningly running his campaign behind other candidates for the respective positions of the party. Governor Udom, who himself has and is known for cunningness and reneging on the agreement, has met his match, after all, it is the State’s money.

Could this possibly be the reason the Governor is not doing anything in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district??
