The late Odiahu who worked at the engineering department of the broadcast station in Okene was stoned dead after he closed from work on Tuesday evening.

It is unclear who his attackers are but the staff on duty at the time of the incident have been arrested.

“They are currently helping the police in their investigation at the Divisional Office of the Nigeria Police Force, Okene,” the source said.

A member of staff at NTA in Okene, who spoke under anonymity, confirmed the incident.

“It is very unfortunate we all woke up this morning to see the corpse of one of our colleagues under the engineering department. When we closed transmission around 10pm on Tuesday, he left the office premises,” he said.

Remove the word ‘Igbo’ every Nigerian have a right to live peacefully without fear of tribalism and nepotism.

RIP to the NTA who died in the hands of assailants.

May his killers meet their Waterloo vey soon and probably same fate as the victim.

While Kogi is celebrating induction into Oil producing state courtesy of Igbo communities (odekpe, etc) Nigeria ceded to them against the natives will, they are still killing them.
Whatever we do, we must return our Igbo brothers back to the fold.
These Kogi people have a secret agenda under their dirty wrapper

I wish I am seeing you right now.
Incase you don't know, this is not unrelated to new oil discovered in the Igbo communities trapped inside that Kogi Islamic state.
Is he the only NTA staff?

Even if he is not, the killing exposed what Igbo indigenes of Kogi state are going through.
He was a killing that shined touch into the dark room of Kogi state

Is not only Igbo communities that were split. It happened to all the major tribes in Nigeria.

There are Yorubas communities in the South South and North Central.

Mr Man, stop saying rubbish. If police invite you to com talk what you know about the killings now, you won't have anything to say. But, you have been talking as if you know who the killers are and why he was killed.

Well, I don't really understand the need to attach ethnicity to the crime. This is a clear case of murder and the culprits must be apprehended.

Okene is a very dangerous place, a Muslim town that is stagnated with dingy houses and wicked people. When I served in Kogi state many years back, we already learnt about how notorious and dangerous Okene while still in camp and corpers often tried avoiding being posted there. Even some of the most deadly Boko Haram and bandits members often come from there.

Evil town!!

Igbos keep groaning they were hated. No they're not, they're just reaping the fruit of hate and perdition shown to every other Nigerian who are not Igbo

It is very unfortunate indeed.
Nobody deserves to die just because of who he is.

I think this has nothing to do with tribal issue. It maybe more of personal differences because Igbo people are in every books and crannies of Ebira land, from Okene to Adavi, Ihima, Obangede, Okenwe Ajaokuta etc and they have been cohabiting and doing their businesses with hindrance, marrying each other from when I was a kid.
The police should do their investigation very well, it won't take them time to get the culprits.
