The Nigerian woman came to India on a business visa in 2015 to sell ready-made garments, but later started smuggling drugs
The court of additional district and sessions judge Harjit Kaur Kaleke on Thursday sentenced a Nigerian woman to 10-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) convicting her for smuggling heroin in Mohali.

The court also fined her ₹1 lakh and in default to pay the fine, the convict will have to further undergo imprisonment of one year.

Joy Cheeka Ozuma of Nigeria was arrested by the Mohali Special Task Force (STF) in May 2018 near Nature Park in Phase 9 following a tip-off. The STF recovered 1kg heroin from her possession.

According to the case, the woman came to India on a business visa in 2015 and sold readymade garments in Delhi, Noida and Tripura, but to earn extra money, she started smuggling drugs.

Same thing NDLEA is doing well here too. It's just a shame that Chika Ozuma learnt the hard way as she's not going to see her family, friends and acquitances again at least for about the next 10 years after which she will be deported to Nigeria.
She's done for and I hope many others will learn that crime does not pay.

They full India. They are the ones that caused shipping normal stuffs from India a difficult task. Thing about some Igbos is that they don't use what they sell.
They sell substandard items but use original in their homes.
They sell adulterated drinks but avoid where those drinks are sold
They sell fake drugs but will spend big on treatment so they don't use the medications they sell
They run baby factories but will never use their family members as volunteers
Now they rampantly do drug dealing but they refuse to consume the drugs they traffic knowing it will fry their brains.
Even their polititcians ruin their states and will rather go to invest in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja than their lands.

All these I have mentioned is true. Inasmuch as it will get to your sentiments, but take the facts out of it. There are good Igbos out there. Kudos to them.

I'm sure by now, the Indians would have become tired of arresting Nigerians for drug trafficking.
Maybe Indian drug law is not as severe as that of countries like Malaysia, Saudi Arabia that's why they use the Indian route.
